SuperDuplex: An InfraRed Bootloader for Arduino

NoMi Design has implemented a very cool Arduino Bootloader based on 38kHz infrared remote modulation. The coolest thing is that you can use the Arduino IDE and program remotely (through IR) your ATMega chip without any modifications on the IDE!

As guys describe in their blog entry they have managed to resolve any transmission issues like echo and demodulation. IR cannot beat the wireless reprogramming using ZigBee or any other wireless/wired interface but it is a very interesting solution that brings many ideas for home projects!
